Attendees were only able to ask questions versus give any feedback during the meeting so please provide your feedback to both the Alderman’s office at yourvoice@ward43.org with a copy to Mid-North Association at midnorthassn@gmail.com.  The Alderman’s team along with Mid-North are currently organizing all feedback submitted, including written forms, emails, and phone calls.   Make sure to list your address on any feedback you send.

The July 2025 Summer Block Party was a HIT!

Neighbors enjoyed the beautiful weather and fantastic cookout from Carnival Foods.  Kids enjoyed face painting and balloon art as well as the bounce houses that were provided by Lake Shore Fitness. Adults enjoyed refreshments courtesy of Gemini, DeNuccis, and Angry Octopus. It was great to have so many new neighbors out and getting involved with MidNorth.  Hope to see you all again soon!

Join us at the annual summer block party outside of Carnival Grocery this Saturday, July 11th from 12-3 pm. Complimentary food and drinks along with family activities such as a bounce house, balloon artist and face painting. Hope to see you there!

Mid-North Meeting – Monday, June 22nd, 7pm at Belmont Village

Mid-North is hosting an open community meeting to give an update on the proposed Francis Parker expansion as well as to hear a community led proposal that is an alternative to Parker’s plans to demolish a significant courtyard building on West Belden Avenue. Since we last met, the Mid-North Association Board communicated in person to Alderman Knudsen on May 11, 2026, during a meeting at the Alderman’s office, that the MNA Board unanimously opposes Parker’s proposals.  A copy of the letter which put in writing what was communicated directly to the Alderman is posted on our website. The feedback that Mid-North has received and continues to receive has been overwhelming opposed to the destruction of a historic building and expansion onto Belden as well as to the stadium lights. Our block party on Sunday, September 11 was a delightful event!

Neighbors enjoyed the beautiful weather and lovely music of Charlie Freund and his jazz band, “The And of Four.”  Kids enjoyed soccer and biking on the open street. Adults enjoyed cocktails and refreshments courtesy of MidNorth Association and Paul Levy. It was great to have so many new neighbors out and getting involved with MidNorth.  Hope to see you all again soon!
